We travel from St-John’s to the Burin Peninsula to meet up with Chris and his two pointer dogs, Blue and Scout. Full of energy, they always have fun when they go hunting and when they help their owner find his prey. However, we must keep up and walk long distances to be successful in our endeavor.
It’s a grueling hunt, because the territory, even though magnificent, is full of hills and is difficult to hike. Exhausted, we stop to eat a comforting moose stew prepared by Paul. A well-deserved break. The human warmth and the beauty of the territory will have made us forget the cold and aridity of this uncommon expedition.
