“One of my friends always says, “Everything you put into your body, you have to think of it as a way of fortifying yourself.” If you eat really poor substandard food, you can’t help yourself. We get away from this idea so commonly in the city and that why I like food here. I think it’s kind of built into our collective memory that we would go out and hunt down for food. Collecting food is something that’s just built into our primordial D.N.A. It just feels so cool to catch a salmon or to dive down a few meters to harvest. And I don’t think that is way cheaper than to buy the food from the supermarket but it’s just such a fantastic feeling to be in nature and then for a small time you sort of outsmart nature to catch your own food.”- Steano
