Nunavik : Fishing with the Inuit of Tasiujaq

Hooké S2EP05

Charles and Alexis go on an adventure in one of the remotest corners of Quebec where they discover Leaf River Estuary Lodge; an outfitter managed entirely by the Inuit of Tasiujaq village. Johnny and Billy Cain, co-owners of Johnny & Billy Cain Outfitters, take the boys on a visit of the village before heading to the lodge where they’ll learn more about the Inuit lifestyle with guides Joe and Charlie. From preparing dried fish to raising sled dogs, to fishing and hunting as a livelihood; experience local indigenous culture and witness all of the abundance and beauty found in Northern Quebec. As you’d expect, Leaf River Estuary Lodge is a fishing paradise. The boys even got to complete a Northern Grand Slam: catching salmon, brook trout and Arctic char.
