Hooké Hosted Trip : Sweden

Experience the vast wilderness and first class salmon fishing on the majestic Lainio river, home to the mighty wild Baltic Salmon. Join Hooké in Swedish Lapland on this unique adventure with legends Lars Munk & Calle Lundqvist accompanied by Fred Campbell and Alexis Pageau from Hooké. Get ready for an adventure, wading and swinging flies in vast picturesque waters where fish running into the 30-40+ lbs are not uncommon.

Schedule Day 1 : (Sunday 18th) : Pickup at the airport(Kiruna or Luleå) by Lars, Calle and Hooké (Alexis & Fred). Drive to the Lodge Lapland Guesthouse for check in and then Swedish fika together with the Lodge owner Johan Stenevad. After the fika Lars and Calle will inform you about the plans for the trip, info about the fishing, equipment, eating hours, transportation, regulations, etc.

The rest of the day/evening is open for getting un-jetlaged, having a sauna with a cold beer or free fishing the Lainio river.

Day 2 : (Monday 19th) : After breakfast we’ll be fishing the Lainio river around the village of Kangos, divided into two different groups. Lunch will be served by the riverside. We’ll return to the Lodge for dinner. Free fishing or relaxing after the dinner (sauna/beer).

Day 3 : (Tuesday 20th) The same as yesterday, but switching beats.

Day 4 : (Wedsday 21st): Trout and Grayling fishing in lakes.

Day 5 : (Thursday 22nd): After breakfast we’ll drive up to the Onka beat, which is approx. A 40 min drive from the Lodge. The group will be divided into two groups then Lars will take one group to the upper part and Calle stay with the other group at the lower part. Lunch will be cooked by Calle and Lars by the river, and we’ll return to the Lodge for dinner. Free fishing or relaxing after the dinner(sauna/beer).

Day 6 : (Friday 23rd) The same as yesterday, but switching beats.

Day 7 : (Saturday 24th) Return Home
